Former Holdenville High School all-state athlete, Emily Smith, is a member of the Northwestern Oklahoma University track team. Emily competed in the 60 meter hurdles at Wichita State University this last weekend and made into the finals. The stellar Holdenville athlete is a music education major and is touring with a regional all-star collegiate choir. According to Emily, choir and track keep her busy but she still maintains an extremely high grade point!

This January, Kaitlin had her 1st professional win on the Cactus Tour at Sun City Country Club with a final score of -9, along with three additional top 5 finishes on the tour. Kaitlin placed 3rd at the Twin Bridges Championship Symetra Event in New York.

Wade Burleson of Enid, a minister, writer and the former President of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, announced that he has officially filed as a Republican candidate for Oklahoma’s 3 Congressional District.
