WOLVERINES HAVE GOOD WEEK The Wolverines are improving! Which is what everyone predicted would happen when Holdenville Coaches had a chance to work with their teams! The boys added 2 wins to their record in the week prior to the Christmas Break and the girls played 2 extremely competitive games that registered in the almost column. The boys beat a solid 4A Seminole team at Seminole by a score of 6561 and then returned home to notch a 69-57 win over Stroud.
Holdenville’s Madyson Richmond takes aim as she sink another free throw.The wolverines will regroup over the Holidays and play at Atoka on January 6.

Grace M. Pickens Public Library in Holdenville Public Library Receives Math Engagement Grant

Simons Foundation’s “Infinite Sums” Initiative provides grant for Holdenville Library Holdenville — The Holdenville Public Library has been selected as the only library in Oklahoma to receive a prestigious national grant recognizing innovative library workers who will lead engaging math programs throughout 2026. The award places Holdenville among just 20 libraries nationwide chosen for their commitment to expanding community access to creative, meaningful math experiences.

The Holdenville Wolverine basketball teams had some growing pains in their first week of the 2025-2026 basketball season. The Wolverines are young and the opening week’s schedule was filled with really good teams.

State Election Board Seeks Voters Address Information

This week, the State Election Board mailed postcards to more than 71,000 voters requesting that they update their voter registration address, State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax announced. The postcards were mailed to voters who were identified by the U.S. Postal Service as having completed a National Change of Address Card within the past 12 months. Election officials say the effort helps ensure clean voter registration rolls and is part of the State Election Board's regular voter list maintenance process.
