The Holdenville Lions Club fall season ended very well. Our average attendance was 10 members per meeting. In October we had programs from our Holdenville Fire Chief, Brian Jay and Larry Bailey. Both programs encouraged us to expand some of our service projects in the future.

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHES

Friday, January 19th, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the February 13th Special Election Weleetka Public School SD I-31 and Town of Calvin (Proposition), Hughes County Election Board Secretary Brandy Davis said today.

Holdenville Boys and Girls have tough losses in tourney The first game in the Konawa Tournament went well for both the Holdenville boys and girls. The girls opened the tournament with a 68-37 win over Epic Charter School and the boys followed with a 7262 win over Seminole. Both squads played some of their best basketball of the year in the first round but didn’t follow through on the second and third round.
Holdenville’s, Kejo Watson, dribbles past a Destiny Christian defender on his way to the basket. Holdenville will travel to Okemah on Tuesday for an important 66 Conference match with the Panthers.
