I have read thousands of books in my lifetime, but one of my favorites is a little volume by Penelope Stokes entitled Thanks Dad! Lessons from the Lake on Living and Loving. It is a small book with very short, well illustrated chapters of life lessons Penelope learned from fishing with her father.

Andy was only a green twenty-year-old when he was called to his very first pastorate out in the Panhandle of Oklahoma. Located in a rural isolated community, this tiny church was accustomed to getting “newbies” as its pastor.

I won’t get to use that phrase to describe my brother Wayne anymore. He left for Heaven to meet our mother, dad, sisters, a whole swarm of relatives and friends on April 18, 2021.

Eat More Chocolate I ran across a column I wrote a number of years ago and thought it carried a message worth repeating. Here is some of what I wrote.

My cousin Jack Reynolds and wife Patsy came to Holdenville for a visit Wednesday. What a great time we had. It had been many years since we had seen them. Jack is the son of the late Ed and Marie Reynolds and was the 1971 HHS Valedictorian.
