Wolverines thrash unbeaten Coalgate Holdenville High School’s 2024 Homecoming was successful in a multitude of ways! The Thursday night pep rally was good. Friday’s Homecoming Parade was one of the longest in the history of Holdenville Homecoming Parades.

Wednesday, Sept. 25 in the Salt Creek Methodist Church and funeral services will be held on Thursday Sept. 26 at 10:30 A.M. also in the Salt Creek Methodist Church, located 8 miles north of Holdenville on highway 48.

Friday, October 11th, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the November 5th General Election, Hughes County Election Board Secretary Brandy Davis said today.

MERCY PROPOSES AMBULANCE SERVICE TAKEOVER OF HUGHES COUNTY EMS

At a recent Hughes County Commissioners meeting, representatives from Mercy Hospital proposed taking over ambulance services for the county. The meeting saw a presentation by James Farris, Regional Director of Mercy, Scott Tulane, Vice-President of Operations of MercyHosptial Ada, and Ron Thetford, Director of Plant Operations at Ada Mercy Hospital and current Mayor of Holdenville. Thetford was not attending in his capacity as mayor.
