Wolverine Relay Teams set school records. The Holdenville High School 4 X 100 relay team began the state track meet with a record setting performance.

Michael “Scott” Johnson, age 52, resident of Holdenville, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at his home. Scott was born October 16, 1970, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Jimmy and Carol “Brooks” Johnson.

Hughes County EMS recently held its Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) training recently. This course is designed to equip ambulance drivers with the skills and knowledge necessary to operate an ambulance safely and efficiently in emergency situations. This training is done once a year for all EMS employees and must be done within 90 days for all new employees.

CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER MAY 5,2023 Position Description: Performs a varied of technical duties in support of the City’s local code enforcement program; monitors and enforces a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to building codes, dilapidated housing, junk cars, public health and safety, and property maintenance. Provides information regarding City regulations to residential property owners, businesses, and the general public.

Graduation time is here and students across the country are making decisions about their future. Many of them will start college but only half of those that start will graduate.

Jake is the son of Rett Simmons. He has attended Moss School since 2021 where he was active in welding. He is a member of the National Technological Honor Society. His favorite teacher is Mr. McIntyre and his favorite subject is personal finance. Following graduation he plans to get a welding job.
