The Holdenville boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will travel to Konawa this week to participate in the Tiger Classic. The tournament will tip off on Thursday and conclude with the finals on Saturday. The Wolverine boys will open Holdenville’s post Holiday schedule at 11:50 Thursday morning when they face off with class 4A North Rock Creek. NRC has posted a 5-2 pre-Christmas record and is currently ranked 17 in Class 4A. Seminole is the only common opponent of both teams. Holdenville lost a close 50-51 contest at Seminole on a buzzer beater. NRC defeated Seminole by 13: 64-51.
