City Council Votes NOT to Allow Investigation into Leak

In a surprising vote of 4-2, the Holdenville City Council voted not to allow an investigation into a breach of executive session, which happened in recent weeks. The information, which was shared only with council members in an executive session of a recent city council meeting was apparently published on social media by a local citizen.

This past Sunday they shared some of their camp experiences and highlights from their week at Camp Bond. God is doing some incredible things in their lives and in this group. Remembering Hughes County’s First Contested Senate Seat

The Yeager reunion recently was great. I visited with friends I have not seen in a long time including the Lovelace sisters, the Deans, Keesees, Randall LaValley and so many others. We will be sharing pictures of the gathering in the near future. Yeager Mayor Pat Allford has put together a team that has been very successful in completing sever projects beneficial to the community.

Donald Lee Long passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the age of 67. Donald was the son of Nathan Long Sr. & Cindy (McGeeley) Long, born on June 26, 1954, in Talihina, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, and graduated Holdenville High School with the Class of 1973. He lived most of his life in the Holdenville area, and worked in his younger years for Camp Oil Company and Village Market. He later worked for Wrangler, Wal Mart, and Creek Nation Casino Security before retiring due to failing health. He was a member of Salt Creek Methodist Church. He loved fishing and racing cars and trucks at Thunder Valley, and he loved spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
